artorial creativity took center stage in Lagos recently following the Lagos Fashion Week shows. The three-day event was a rollercoaster of glamour and glitz with style stars decorating the streets and red carpets with exotic style representations. Designers and their muses suspended everyday wear and took to intricate couture, strutting in unison to the already upbeat atmosphere. It seemed the city of Lasgidi caught the electrifying fashion bug, and that seeped into other events. Although the LFW shows are over, we’re still being fed serial slay JPEGs on the Gram, and we hope it doesn’t end anytime soon.

Ini Dima Okojie’s outfit was a testament to the power of simplicity. The refined two-piece by The Bloom by FBD flaunted an ethereal aura that amplified the actress’ attitude. The white spaghetti strap cropped blouse and maxi skirt combo is a relaxed look for any day you decide to portray understated poise. The green Balenciaga mini bag and gold jewelry injected color for a sprinkle of fun.

#2. Lavender luxe

Bold colors like neon, orange, red, and lavender have been in the spotlight lately, and haven’t soft-pedaled. Style influencer, Olivia Arukwe jumped on this bandwagon of hues and put her individualistic spin to this fad. For the Lagos Fashion Week show, she strutted in Emmy Kasbit, and there’s no doubt this fashion choice sat well with the theme and her style.

The lavender coordination featured a spaghetti-strap crop top, a midi pencil skirt with a high slit, geometric prints, and fringe trims, finished off with a chic coat. She continued the colored tale with bright yellow sandals, white sunglasses, and a black-and-gold purse.

#3. Black rizz

Idia Aisien’s outfit for the ATAFO show at Lagos Fashion Week told us that she came to conquer. Her all-black ensemble featured a top underneath an ATAFO blazer which she paired with matching shorts, sexy tights, and pumps. For accessories, the actress opted for oversized sunglasses, a mini bag, and stacks of jewelry.

#4. Leather O.D

Nonye Udeogu has us reconsidering wearing a full-on leather outfit in Lagos. The fashion content creator was spotted at the Lagos Fashion Week show in a deep brown Tuscan leather coat and pants. The rich hue of her outfit perfectly complemented her latte skin, evoking an oh-so-intriguing glow. She finished off the look with matching boots, oversized sunglasses, and a mini bag. If you’re considering recreating this look, you can swap one or more leather pieces for a lightweight fabric.

#5. Blue-tiful set

Talented designer, Sandrah Tubobereni is known for creating bold pieces with interesting details. In a recent appearance, she continued her mission in a chic blue coordination. She rocked an oversized blazer over her brand’s fringe trim skirt that checked all the right boxes. She paired the outfit with a blue clutch, PVC heels, and understated jewelry for the slay culture.

#6. Sheer flow

Omowummi Onalaja was a sheer sensation in an elegant yet sexy combo. The actor and media personality wore a pale green sheer outfit to the Toast With Moet event to celebrate World Champagne’s Day. To vamp up the look, she opted for gold strappy heels and a fuchsia pink purse.

Ladies and gents, I present to you a queen of exotic and lavish styles: Chioma Ikokwu. Dressed as a West African version of an Egyptian goddess, the reality TV star was a sight in a strapless maroon dress by Weiz Dhurm Franklin. The frock flaunted a sweetheart neckline, corset-like bodice, silver swirls on each bust, and long fringe trims that cascaded from the waist to the floor. She finished off the glamorous look with a matching Birkin bag and pumps.
